Ujjwal Narwal creates history by winning India’s first National Poker Championship Main Event
The first edition of National Poker Championship was held from 4th to 7th April on Adda52. The 1 Crore GTD National Poker Championship brought 4241 total entries (1,353 from Day 1A, 1,261 from Day 1B and 1,627 from Day 1C).
The NPC Main Event on 7th April drew a total of 383 entries (survivors of Day 1A/B/C). Overall, the top 382 players shared the prize pool with a min-cash of INR 8,280. The lion’s share went to 23-year-old player Ujjwal Narwal aka “fourteenk”. Narwal defeated player ‘tenfiveftw’’ heads-up to emerge Champion and take home the top prize of INR 16,00,000. The player ‘tenfiveftw’’ received INR 10,50,000 for his 2nd place finish.
Narwal has added his name in poker history books as the winner of the Adda52’s first-ever National Poker Championship.
